The difference between great people and everyone else is that great people create their lives actively, while everyone else is created by their lives, passively waiting to see where life takes them next. The difference between the two is the difference between living fully and just existing.
There is nothing as easy as denouncing. It don’t take much to see that something is wrong, but it takes some eyesight to see what will put it right again.

When you finally get absorbed in what you are doing you frequently surprise yourself with flashes of talent and brilliance you didn’t know you had in you. You can find a source of genius that lies dormant until called upon for great effort.…All of us can find resources within ourselves we would not normally suspect exist. We can find them only when we attempt something difficult or great.
Be more concerned with your character than your reputation, because your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are.
